Pirate got a few miles in afterwards,riding back to Girvan with a friend..I played safe..I don't like risking riding where there is ice about...but at least hewasn't alone!

First Footing
OK, not the first day of 2018, but the first clubrun of the Ayr Roads Cycling Club to the club hut this year. Pirate was made a life member quite a while ago...
We helped with the catering, so travelled by car, carrying a jam pan (maslin pan) of homemade veggie soup and a box of assorted goodies.

What great comradeship, and fun.
It has been icy round here too - the roads are quite lethal in places. I noticed not many solitary cyclists out preferring to keep to two or more.
I hope the wind was at their back.
