Girvan sunset

Ailsa Craig..not looking today as if its 11 miles offshore..
Snow on Goat Fell on the Isle of Arran
 looking South...

then walking North along the prom, you find the old Gentlemens' Club Pavilion and bandstand now sadly closed up.

Fishing boat heading out from Girvan Harbour, then past Ailsa Craig

Seeing the sun set on the left...midsummer you watch it set over the Isle of Bute, to the right of Ailsa Craig on the right of the picture
 and goodnight until tomorrow.

Beautiful sunset, and I bet it wasn't quite as warm as a summertime one would be. Old buildings don't have anyone willing to pay their upkeep these days. Shame to lose the beauty they have.

Incredibly beautiful! Lovely photos. The old Gentleman's club pavilion is still splendid, even in its semi-derelict state. It has the look of an abandoned railways station with a touch of band stand blended in!

that air was pure yesterday, wasn't it? I too could have seen for miles if I weren't down in a valley... some winter days on the irish ferry you could look out and see the Lake District, Snowdonia, and the Wicklow mountains all at the same time. If you turned your head, obviously!

The water looks so calm, balmy even. However I bet it was rather cold!
